Après le tour nord-américain avec Stevie Nicks en mars et avril, Rod fait escale pour le plus grand bonheur de ses fans européens, au Royaume-Uni pour quelques dates, toutes en plein air.
En grande forme physique et vocale, Rod délivre un show plein, de deux heures sans interruption, avec en prime l’annonce confirmée d’un nouvel album blues avec Jeff Beck et illustrée par la reprise d’un rock des années 50 « Shake Your Moneymaker » d’Elmore James, terriblement efficace sur scène et mené de main de maître par la guitare endiablée d’un Don Kirkpatrick très surprenant dans son solo d’enfer. Rod has really the dreamteam !
Si les stades n’étaient pas pleins (la crise a dû passer par là et le prix des places assez élevé pour des concerts en plein air doit y être aussi pour quelque chose), Rod était lui à son plus haut niveau. Les années ne semblent pas avoir d’emprise sur lui ! He wears it well !... Merci Rod pour ces fabuleux concerts, merci de ta bonne humeur, de ta joie de vivre sur scène, de ton enthousiasme à chanter, merci d’être là... You’re always the best !
After the North American tour with Stevie Nicks in March and April, Rod stops to the delight of his fans in Europe, the United Kingdom for a few concerts, all outdoors.
Rod is in a great physical form and voice,delivering a show full two hours without interruption, with the great announcement : he confirmed a new blues album with Jeff Beck, illustrated by the cover of a 50's rock "Shake Your Moneymaker" (an Elmore James’ song), awfully good on stage and masterfully led by Don Kirkpatrick on the guitar, very surprising with his solo. If stadiums were not full (the crisis and ticket prices high enough for outdoor concerts), Rod was at his highest level. The years seem to have no hold on him! He wears it well! ...
