D'autres ouvrages sur Rod cités ici et là :

En premier lieu, nous citerons "The Visual Documentary" publié en 1992 par John Gray, le fondateur du plus célèbre et unique fan-club "Smiler".

En 1976, paraît aux Etats-Unis, Rod Stewart: A Biography in Words & Pictures", de Richard Cromelin, époque oblige, ce bouquin est plutôt centré sur la rupture des Faces. Cette même année, en Angleterre John Pidgeon publie "Rod Stewart and the changing Faces" consacré aux Small Faces, The Faces et Rod The Mod bien sûr.

"Rod Stewart: A Life on the Town" de Peter Burton, paru en 1977, la seule biographie autorisée par le manager de Rod à l'époque, Bill Gaff, tandis que paraissait simultanément en Angleterre  une seconde biographie cette fois-ci non autorisée, intitulée tout simplement  "Rod Stewart" écrite par Tony Jasper.

En 1994, Ray Coleman, journaliste au Melody Maker dans les années 70 et qui connaît bien son sujet, publie une biographie intitulée "Rod Stewart – The Biography" qui connut aux dires de John Gray un "triomphe".

Pour finir, en 2005, un livre de photos parait en Allemagne sous le titre de "Rod Stewart : Live, Private, Backstage : Photos 1970-1980", ses auteurs étant Schwarzkopf & Schwarzkopf.

In 1976, in the U.S, Rod Stewart: A Biography in Words & Pictures" written by Richard Cromelin was published. This book is rather focused on the Faces' rupture. That same year, in England, John Pidgeon publishes "Rod Stewart and The Changing Faces " devoted to Small Faces, The Faces and Rod The Mod of course.

"Rod Stewart: A Life on the Town" by Peter Burton, issued in 1977, the only authorized biography by Rod's manager at the time, Bill Gaff, while simultaneously appeared in England a second biography unauthorized titled simply "Rod Stewart" written by Tony Jasper.

Inutile de chercher ici une seule biographie de Rod écrite en français, tout au plus pourrons nous trouver des portraits stéréotypés écrits par des journalistes français rock plus inspirés par leur égo que par leur métier. Mais c'était il y a longtemps ! ... Pour tous ceux qui chercheraient un bouquin sur leur idole, voilà les principaux ouvrages recensés d'après nos propres collections ou différentes sources (Smiler, Wikipédia, ...).

No need to search a Rod's biography written in French, at most we can find stereotypical portraits written by rock French journalists more inspired by their ego as their profession. And it was long ago! ... For all those looking for a book about their idol, here's the main books collected from our own collections or others sources as Smiler or Wikipedia ...
